Email Alerts

Send change notifications to any email address for stakeholders who aren't on Discord.

Managers, lawyers, label execs. Not everyone wants to be in a Discord server. Email puts the alert directly in their inbox.

Step 1: create an email destination

Go to Dashboard > Destinations > New Destination:

  • Type: Email
  • Name: something that identifies the recipient, e.g. "Manager Email" or "Legal Team"
  • Email Address: the address to notify

No verification step. The address is used as-is on the next matching change.

Step 2: create an alert rule

Go to Dashboard > Alert Rules > New Rule:

  • Destination: pick the email destination you just created
  • Min severity: match what that person actually cares about
  • Event types: narrow it down or leave empty for everything
  • Artist filter: leave empty for all artists, or limit to one

Click Create Rule. The next matching change triggers the email right away.

What the email contains

  • Subject line with artist name and change type
  • A summary of what changed
  • The severity level
  • Link to the full detail in your dashboard

Routing to the right people

Create one destination per recipient or team, then point rules at them.

Legal team: label name and ISRC changes only

  • Destination: Legal Team
  • Min severity: Warning
  • Event types: Release Label Changed, Track ISRC Changed

Artist management: new releases and catalog outages

  • Destination: Manager Email
  • Min severity: Warning
  • Event types: New Release Detected, Track Went Offline, Release Went Offline

Catch-all log inbox: everything

  • Destination: Log Inbox
  • Min severity: Info
  • Event types: empty

Troubleshooting

Not landing? Check spam first and mark as "not spam". Also double-check the address for typos in the destination. A wrong address fails silently.

Need to pause? Toggle the rule off without deleting it.

Multiple recipients? Use a distribution list or group email as the destination address. One destination, one address.
